The 21 Song Salute

Hello!

Towards the end of last year, I had my associate producer, Rose Prock,  from Nashville, Tennessee, contact you and many others.  She informed you of my '21 Song Salute' music production that is focused on honoring the fighting men and women who have given their all in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.  She was asking you for your support, but more importantly, she was introducing you to this important project.

I do wish you would visit it.  By doing so you will have a very clear introduction to what my concept is for this rare record album.  

I am approaching your organization, and not contacting the traditional Veteran institutions; American Legion, DAV and VFW.  I feel the real foundation I am seeking on this undertaking is not to glorify these wars.  Quite to the contrary.  

I am a combat Veteran from the Vietnam War.  I was there in 1968 and 1969 with the LRRPs (Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol) in the 101st Airborne Division.  I was a 1st Lieutenant, and I was highly decorated for my combat leadership.  When I returned from that 'police action', I immediately took up where I left off in June, 1966, picked up my guitar and began playing Rock 'n' Roll again in the Haight & Ashbury area of San Francisco.

But, "...I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him."  

I started this endeavor shortly after our new President took office.  As an experienced Nashville recording artist, studio musician and producer, I knew the first assignment on my duty roster was to get the songs.  So, I recorded 4 of mine in Nashville as 'examples' and then went to a new medium to gather support from the Nashville Songwriter Community: Facebook.

By April of last year, I had my 21 songs.  And the title of my new album:  "21 Song Salute".   Since the songs in a Country Music production are about 90% of it, I have been gathering assistance from the Nashville Music Industry, and I have the figures now for the business plan, and I'm ready to proceed.  In this process, I have come up with a very different musical production.  Not only am I recording the 21 songs in the state-of-the-art capacity in the best music studios in Nashville utilizing the best professional A-Team studio musicians, singers and technicians, I'm also going to make 21 videos.  In other words, I'm producing a movie.

I need your support.  Your ranks are filled with people similar to myself.  Of course, I am seeking investors for this production, but I'm also seeking participants.  I need the cooperation of the real fighting men and women who have been to Iraq and Afghanistan to stand by me and make this product 'real'.

This is not going to be an ordinary, cliched, run of the mill Country Music production.  It is going to be 'BIG'.  And it is going to make a very big statement.
